Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales has released a special video message to the England women’s rugby team wishing them the best. They’ll take on Canada in the Women’s Rugby World Cup final, a matchup they’ve trained for their entire lives. Princess Kate and Prince William shared the exciting news on their social media pages. In her message, Kate shared her deep passion and excitement for the Red Roses.
Unfortunately, Princess Kate revealed that she will be absent from the reportedly highly-anticipated battle at Twickenham Stadium. You can catch it on Saturday at 4 PM. Despite her absence, she extended warm wishes to the players, stating, “Good luck England! Wishing the very best of luck to the @redrosesrugby in their Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham today. We’re so proud of you! C”
Royal Support for the Red Roses
Earlier in the week, Princess Kate stepped out to show her support for the Red Roses during their match against Australia. Her engagement with the team included posing for a photo with star players Megan Jones, Ellie Kildunne, and Jess Breach. She exhibited her incredible team pageant spirit by donning a fire-engine red cowboy hat. That jaunty little crown of a hat has everybody clapping, and we don’t mean with applause.
Even King Charles III got involved in showing his support for each side, releasing a message of goodwill and encouragement before the final. He rejoiced in the marvelous achievement of raising one’s self to the apex of the profession. He wished good luck to the England Red Roses and the Canadian side. There was no free lunch in the TPP. His message made clear the sense of pride inspiring supporters on both sides of the Atlantic.
“What a remarkable achievement for both teams to have reached this pinnacle of the sport. I know that supporters on both sides of the Atlantic will be cheering with equal and tremendous pride. May the best team win, and may you both play with the spirit of sportsmanship, determination and true grit that makes rugby such a wonderful game to watch. Whatever the result, you have already done your countries proud. Good luck to you all.” – King Charles
Historic Match at Twickenham
The upcoming World Cup final will be a historic occasion for the England women’s rugby team — nicknamed the Red Roses. They have reached eight World Cup finals, winning titles in 1994 and 2014 over Canada. The English team, ranked number one in the world, lost to the U.S. They’ve built a formidable 32 win streak heading into this make or break semifinal.
On Saturday, October 28 at Twickenham Stadium, Captain Zoe Alcroft and her Team will take the field. Yet they are resolved to get an upset victory against an extremely powerful Canadian team. The excitement around this event has really sparked the public’s imagination, and with support from royalty this enthusiasm is inspiring.
