Sezer Kemer, an HEC Paris alum on exchange at the University of Toronto, was in the headlines internationally this September 2023. He left one of Europe’s top business schools to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. With a staggering $70,000 student loan and no professional track record, Kemer took a leap of faith that would ultimately reshape his career trajectory.
At first, the automation game excited Kemer, and he opened his first agency. The project lost traction because of premature technology, landing him back at square one as he realized he needed to change tactics. Undaunted by this misstep, Kemer was not discouraged and focused on identifying unique opportunities in the evolving technology space.
Everything changed for Kemer in early 2025 when he was introduced to Michael Nefedov. They quickly realized they had stumbled onto a major gap in the market, and together co-founded OS Recovery, at the time called Omnisales. Their collaboration was so successful, in fact, that they raised $500,000 in funding within ten days of officially starting the company. Post-money valuation of OS Recovery hit $5 million, a major milestone for the emerging startup.
OS Recovery was created with the values of a community organization—using technology as a tool to radically transform debt collection practices. Kemer and Nefedov want to create a system that brings compassion and advanced technology into the sometimes-despised collection industry. Kemer envisions their approach to be the new standard for how companies talk to customers facing financial hardship.

Kemer’s pledge goes further than just promising to create the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence. He hopes to make emotional connections and is focused on the emotional side of debt collection, looking for openings when others see walls. This belief inspires his quest to make incredible ideas possible. He is dedicated to improving the debtor’s experience on behalf of every organization that uses debt recovery.
Reflecting on his journey, Kemer noted the significance of self-education. “I realized anything could be learned on the internet.” His tenacity and willingness to learn have shaped his entrepreneurial path, empowering him to navigate challenges and innovate within the tech industry.
