Prince George, the 12-year-old son of Prince William and Princess Kate, is getting ready to start a thrilling new adventure. Later this summer, he’ll move up to secondary education! The young royal, who celebrated his 14th birthday earlier this month, recently returned to Lambrook Prep School in Berkshire, where he’s entering into Year 8. According to the UK media, Eton College in Windsor is the best choice for his long-term education. His parents want to make sure that he’s getting a high-quality, well-rounded educational experience.
Prince George, just like his father before him, is second in line to the throne. The Prince and Princess of Wales are obviously being very discerning in his upbringing. They’re passionate to raise him so that he can move through public life with dignity and acumen. The most delightful aspect of Prince George’s appearance at the event was his curiosity and engagement. He listened with great respect and asked very pointed questions in our meeting with D-Day veterans.
Earlier this month, he watched the men’s Wimbledon final with his parents and Charlotte. This visit was just the latest public engagement for the small heir apparent. He joined them at a tea party with King Charles and Queen Camilla for veterans held at Buckingham Palace in May.
In light of these experiences, Royal author Sally Bedell Smith commented, “I think we’ll see more of these kinds of encounters. It’s still early for George to be doing more but he’s being exposed to public life in a pretty intelligent way. They seem to be doing it all very thoughtfully.”
Perhaps the most interesting fact is that Prince George is now the same shoe size as his mother – Princess Kate. She shared this amusing detail during a recent appearance, stating, “They are getting big now! George is already in my shoes.”
Prince George has attracted national acclaim for his unique capacity to connect with people. At the D-Day veteran meeting, a source noted, “George was the star of the room. He was engrossed in conversation with many of the veterans, who were delighted to speak to him as well. He was enjoying it, hearing about guns and submarines and tanks.”
As Prince William and Princess Kate continue to expose their son to public life, they are striving to create a positive and enriching environment that prepares him for his future role as king.
