King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark will go on a summer cruise aboard Royal Ship Dannebrog. Their journey will last from Monday to Thursday this week. The couple will travel without their four children: Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent, and Princess Josephine.
The cruise itinerary begins in Frederikshavn. From day one, the royal couple will participate in an action packed itinerary of official engagements. They’ll be welcomed first with a reception at Sæby Church, then an excursion to the Sæby Glas Blowing Plant. King Frederik and Queen Mary themselves will participate in one of the special city walkabouts. This meet and greet will give them an opportunity to engage directly with local constituents. Their day will end over lunch served in The Forest House at Bangsboskoven.
To kick off the second day, the Royal Ship Dannebrog will be making a stop at Hanstholm Harbour. The King and Queen will then travel by carriage to the Old Town Hall in Thisted, a highlight of their visit. Next, they will explore the Nature Village in Thisted. Next, they’ll visit Surf & Work, a colorful new co-working facility in the city center. The newlyweds will host an evening reception on board the Royal Ship Dannebrog. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to interact directly with their guests.
Day three will bring His Majesty King Frederik and Her Majesty Queen Mary to Læsø Saltworks, followed by Royal Safari at Rønnerne. This trip will focus on Denmark’s remarkable scenic beauty. It will provide an opportunity for the royal couple to experience some of London’s unique wildlife.
On the last day of their cruise, King Frederik and Queen Mary will take a carriage ride through Tranebjerg. Their excursion will conclude with lunch at the Brundby Rockhotel, the island’s famous live music hotel.
