Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust is set to enhance its educational offerings by expanding alternative provision for children who are not enrolled in mainstream schools. This project comes on the back of the trust’s successful £277,200 grant from the DfE to acquire. The funding will increase capacity and improve facilities for secondary students in Sheffield.

The plan for the expansion centers on cultural space and creating a more welcoming environment on the school’s campus. The trust plans to use a majority of the grant to renovate the principal entrance. These enhancements will provide a more appealing and safer entrance to the station for students and guests alike. Plus, the aesthetic surrounding the dining hall will be changed, giving space to more students and creating a more vibrant culture of dining together.

The expansion greatly redefines the second floor of the facility. This adjustment maximizes square footage, improves the circulation of students around and through the building. One of the major focuses on this project is the conversion of one classroom into a fully dedicated science room. This bold and visionary move is sure to improve the curriculum and provide students a more rigorous academic setting when it comes to STEM education.

The expansion couldn’t be more timely. It will help Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust to open 300 additional student places in Sheffield.
