On August 16, a shocking but not entirely surprising incident occurred at Cuvee Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas. One vehicle barreled through the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling glass atrium style windows, narrowly missing two famous TikTok influencers. Nina Santiago, aka Nina Unrated, and Patrick Blackwood were in the thick of shooting an episode of her YouTube series, “Nina Unrated Eats,” when at about 4 p.m. Out of nowhere, a mangled SUV turned through a restaurant serving area.
The explosive blast knocked over the table central to Santiago and Blackwood’s conversation. Piles of plates, food and garbage surrounded them on all sides. Luckily, both influencers survived the crash without anything more than a few cuts and scrapes. The flight was recorded on the ground camera video, giving the world a shocking firsthand view of the surprise inglorious smashup.
Ivory Watkins, the owner of Cuvee Culinary Creations, was just stepping away from the influencers’ table when the explosion hit. Calling the event “a freak accident,” she said she was grateful that more guests weren’t outside at that moment.

Watkins immediately called 911 following the crash. The restaurant’s manager assisted in caring for Santiago and Blackwood’s injuries until paramedics arrived.
Afterward, Nina Santiago posted an Instagram photo expressing her appreciation for the event. She told people how thankful she was for their close call, and that she was “so very grateful to be alive.”

In the aftermath of the incident, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Hen-by-Hen Inspection During the Peep Show trial inspection. Despite the extensive damage caused by the crash, Cuvee Culinary Creations reopened for service the next day with boarded-up windows.
Thanks to the swift action of restaurant personnel and local authorities, both influencers were taken to the hospital immediately. Lucky for us, the impact resulted in no major injuries or deaths. This way, Santiago and Blackwood are able to continue creating and sharing their unique culinary experiences with their ever-growing audience.
