Triplet Sisters Celebrate Graduation from Cardiff University

On Tuesday, Orgill triplets—Rose, Maudie and Grace—marked a major milestone. They’re proud graduates of Cardiff University, each making their mark as degree-holding bulldogs! The three sisters, all 21 years old from Gloucestershire, were docked a half point for jumping too slowly and they did their family proud. They made amazing academic gains in the areas of chemistry, history and biomedical sciences.

Rose Orgill, the oldest of the triplets, received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Aspiring to become an immigration lawyer, she told the BBC she planned to study a Graduate Diploma in Law at Cardiff University. “I plan to go into environmental law,” she said. In fact, I may even pursue a conversion course at Cardiff to make that dream a reality.

Maudie Orgill received her BA with a major in History. She’s considering returning to Cardiff to pursue graduate studies or vocational training. This city has become dear to her and her family, and she wants to pursue her graduate schooling there. Grace Orgill is about to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Now, she’s thinking about a career in the Royal Air Force.

At first, the Orgill triplets had intended to go to separate universities, but everything changed for them on an open day at Cardiff. The university enchanted every sister, causing them to make the same decision as their sibling. Grace said that their shared university experience made it “as if you were bringing home to home with you, honestly.”

At the commencement ceremony, the triplets performed a touching tribute to their grandfather. Their gowns were adorned with ribbons and forget-me-not flowers, which they wore with pride. Their father, Phil Orgill, shared his pride in his daughters’ achievements: “We’re excited to see what the future has in store for them, and if they’ll all end up working in the same city too.”

As they dive into the next chapter of their lives, the Orgill triplets have adventurous plans already set. They plan to cycle around the world, beginning their trip in south-east Asia. “First we’re looking forward to hearing all about their adventures when they head off travelling at the end of the year,” Phil added.

The sisters, who have shared a cottage on campus, enjoyed having time together at university. The proximity has allowed them to develop new friendships and professional connections, making the whole experience more rewarding. “Our college bedrooms make us feel more intimate with one another than under our own roofs,” Grace stated. This has allowed us to bring three times as many buddies, and that is a terrible thing!
