Rising star Nauzhae Drake is a 26-year-old nursing student from [undisclosed]. She recently celebrated the arrival of her fourth child, born on a day that is particularly special to her family. Her four kids all have birthdays on July 7th. This helps make each celebration for the entire family feel special and fresh every year.
Drake’s eldest child, Kewan, is six years old. He was born on July 7, 2017, a few days early, as his due date was July 20. Four-year-old Na’Zaiyla is right on his heels. Khalan, only three, puts his little feet in step with hers. Both children formally joined his family on the same day, just in different years—in 2021 and 2022. Khalan came earlier than expected with a due date of July 17 and Na’Zaiyla was born on the later side with a due date of July 22. The latest member of the clan, our daughter Kailowa, is only ten days old as this birthday streak goes to press.
Drake says she was surprised by the timing of her kids’ births. She did not plan to have to present them on the 7th of July. It was a bigger shocker each time,” she said.
All of Nauzhae Drake’s children came at 38 weeks or before. Each delivery represented their child’s first milestone for family. This year, as the family prepared to celebrate the birthdays of Kewan, Na’Zaiyla, and Khalan, the circus carnival-themed celebrations took on an extra layer of joy with Kailowa’s arrival.
I used to plan their birthday or Christmas gifts months ahead of time. I certainly didn’t want to wait until the last minute because, like I said, I bought them live animals! Then they went out and purchased two guinea pigs and a lizard,” Drake said.
The rest of the family equally enjoys celebrating their birthdays together. They like the whimsical presence of their two guinea pigs and a feisty little lizard, who lend their home extra vibrancy.
