Cognita Launches Innovative AI Platform to Enhance Global Education

Cognita, one of the largest global networks of over 100 private, international schools that collectively educate over 95,000 students. Now, it is making waves in educational technology again by launching its innovative platform, Cognita AI. The new initiative, which aims to revolutionize personalized learning, was piloted across six schools in five countries: Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, the UAE, and the UK. Cognita AI believes in creating more empowered students and educators. It does so through a laser-like approach in areas such as math, phonics-based reading instruction, and structured writing.

Dr. Simon Camby, Group Chief Education Officer & Cognita shared his vision for that transformative potential of this technology. To him, the launch of Cognita AI is a signal of their dedication to AI being productively and responsibly integrated into education. He stated, “Cognita AI is a bold step forward in our mission to lead thoughtfully in educational technology.”

Pilot Program Across Multiple Countries

Cognita AI’s pilot program ran across various educational contexts. It had been held in-depth across Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, and the UAE – as well as virtually in the UK. This unrivalled testing ground allowed Cognita to draw some incredible insights. They learned just how powerful and flexible the platform is no matter what cultural context you find yourself in.

Cognita AI allows teachers to focus on what matters most. It makes generating lesson plans, grading assignments, and administrative forms more time efficient. It makes IEPs much easier to fill out. These plans are especially important for ensuring that students with special needs are properly supported. Cognita AI wants to bring the very best learning experience to students. It aims to relieve many of the burdens currently on educators.

A recent policy paper from UNESCO underscored the worldwide urgency to ensure responsible AI use in classrooms. By launching Cognita AI, Cognita positions itself with this appeal for careful integration of technology in schools.

Empowering Educators and Personalizing Learning

We believe that every child deserves personalized, first-class learning experiences that unlock their potential. The platform’s data-rich capabilities make personalized, differentiated instruction meaningful and impactful, moving at the speed of the student. This kind of personalization is vital in today’s educational environment, flooded with students who all learn at different rates and in different ways.

Dr. Camby went into further detail about what Cognita AI means for teachers, but most importantly, students. He remarked, “This is just the beginning. Grounded in strong pedagogical principles, it’s designed to give teachers more time to do what they do best—inspire, guide, and connect—while enabling students to benefit from more personalized and responsive support.”

With the rapid advances of AI technology in education, this issue has never been more timely. In a recent report, McKinsey estimated that generative AI could do 20 to 40% of what teachers do today, allowing them to spend their time on other things. Cognita’s initiative seeks to take advantage of this potential by giving educators technological implementation that lets them operate more efficiently and effectively.

A Commitment to Future Innovations

Cognita is preparing for the full rollout of Cognita AI schoolwide in the next school year. As a result, the organization has an internal commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. The pilot program has provided a strong foundation from which to build. These improvements will make the teaching and learning environment better for students and teachers.

Dr. Camby shared his vision for the future: “As technology continues to evolve, so will Cognita AI—bringing fresh innovations that empower our educators and help every learner thrive in a rapidly evolving world.”

On the enthusiasm around this initiative, Sohan Choudhury said that he was thrilled to be working alongside Cognita. He stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Cognita,” emphasizing the collaborative spirit behind this transformative project.
