On June 13, 2025, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco television royalty from across the world. Jointly, they opened the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival. As honorary patron of the event, he participated in the opening ceremony in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. At the ceremony, he provided keynote remarks and celebrated the industry’s successes over the past year.
At the unveiling ceremony, Prince Albert posed for photographers next to his co-star Jaz Sinclair. She previously won the highly-coveted Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent. Sinclair shared her appreciations for the award recognition, speaking to the need for representation in mainstream media and its impact.
“I know how badly I wanted to see people who looked like me on the screen when I was a kid. To get to play powerful roles like Marie Moreau, in the skin that I’m in, and to know that women across the world are seeing that power and resonating with it, means so much to me,” – Jaz Sinclair
It was the opening ceremony that marked, perhaps, the most momentous occasion. It ushered in the French premiere of Watson, a rather new CBS series. Morris Chestnut, a famous actor, was one of the festival’s attendees celebrating with Prince Albert.
The three-day festival featured big names including the stars of the runaway popular television show One Chicago. Among them were Hanako Greensmith, Jocelyn Hudon, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar. Each of them was there to celebrate their artform and interact with their audiences at one of the most celebrated stages in existence.
Prince Albert’s participation at the festival was a true testament to his dedication towards nurturing innovative art forms and acknowledging trailblazing talent. He was joined on the red carpet sharing the spotlight with other celebrities such as Gen V actress Jaz Sinclair. He made headlines when photographed with popular actors Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Tyler Hoechlin, and Charlie Carver. The event offered a rare chance for most of these stars to touch base again and revel in their shared impact on the history of television.
Darren Barnet, who just joined the cast of Chicago Med as new pediatric resident Dr. John Frost, was at the festival. His participation speaks to the incredible growth and change taking place in today’s television storytelling and character representation on-screen.
Besides stars from One Chicago, Prince Albert was seen having a great time alongside Sarah Rafferty. She is probably best known for her starring role in Suits, a show that starred Meghan Markle. Other star guests at the festival included Judith Light, Rachel Griffiths, Gabrielle Lazure, Eriq Ebouaney, Brendan Fitzgerald and John Reardon. Their presence certainly added to the star-studded environment, further contributing to the day’s extraordinary magic.
As we got further into the festival, the wonderful news arrived that Prince Albert II of Monaco would indeed attend the closing ceremony. His presence reflects his aggressive support for the event and its participants.
