We saw them take their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with them to participate in their first Trooping the Colour ceremony. Held in central London, this event marks the official birthday of King Charles III, celebrating the British monarch’s legacy with a grand military parade.
The royal family did not disappoint, turning heads in eye-catching ensembles. Prince George and Prince Louis in navy suits and red ties to match the color of Prince William’s military uniform. Princess Charlotte, who is now 10 years old, wore a lighter aqua dress that complemented her mother’s bespoke Catherine Walker coat dress in a similar shade.
All in all, over 1,300 marching soldiers and 300 musicians were involved in the colourful military parade. The occasion illuminated the colorful heritage of the British monarchy. In keeping with the ceremony, Prince William arrived on horseback, leading the royal procession aboard a thoroughbred named Darby. Darby, a long-limbed beauty of a horse, was gifted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Catherine completed her chic look with a matching wide-brimmed hat by Juliette Botterill. She wore a beautiful pair of pearl drop earrings formerly owned by Queen Elizabeth. To illustrate her status as Colonel of the Irish Guards regiment, she wore its brooch with great pride.
