Prince William and Princess Kate welcome a new addition! Their sweet dog, Orla, black cocker spaniel has just had four puppies. Today, the Sun of London brought a tidbit of truly joyous news that’s had all of us here in the Wales household jumping up and down. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are excited to welcome their new little friends!
In 2020, Kate’s brother, James Middleton, gave Orla to the couple as a wedding present. She has since grown into a beloved member of their family. The royal family has provided us with a lot of adorable content from Orla. In a recently released animated short, they celebrated the happy ending of Princess Kate’s cancer treatment. Through all of that, Orla’s calming influence provided a source of responsiveness and heat during a hugely transformative time.
The family often enjoys outdoor activities together. Recently, Prince William and Princess Kate were spotted sitting on the beach with Orla, highlighting their fondness for the dog. The pair further celebrated National Pet Day last month by posting a photo of Orla from a rainy day walk.
Orla is also beloved by members of the Wales family. To mark Princess Charlotte’s seventh birthday three years ago, the duchess shared this delightful bluebell wood scene. This very special and sweet moment helped showcase the beautiful connection between this enchanted young spirit and her loving furry counterpart. Orla joined Princess Kate at a charity polo match in the summer of 2022. At this point, Orla was pretty established as a fan favorite.
Everyone is thrilled by the arrival of Orla’s new puppies! It’s far from certain whether the Wales family plans to retain all four. The prospect of taking home more fuzzy friends, with their own unique personalities, injects a lot of excitement into the family’s mood.
