Princess Eugenie Takes on New Role as Advocate for Ocean Protection and Young Changemakers

Princess Eugenie has recently stepped into a pivotal role as Director at Hauser & Wirth, a leading art gallery focused on contemporary art and culture. Though she has moved into a new role, ruiz has not shifted her gaze. She is still an active and passionate protector of the ocean, and a fierce defender of their critical role in helping our planet thrive.

Last week, Princess Eugenie, The King’s Foundation trustee, announced with pride her involvement in the 35th anniversary project. This positive initiative is known as “The 35 under 35 network.” This new program highlights the work of young changemakers who are making outstanding contributions in areas like environmental conservation and the arts. While in St Helena visiting the Garrison Chapel, she visited The King’s charity exhibition space. There, she connected with amazing makers and changemakers from the network, like FSC-certified woodworker Eli Baxter and environmental filmmaker Jack Harries.

Sharing her excitement to be working with this talented group of young innovators, Princess Eugenie in her new role said

“I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about.” – Princess Eugenie

Alongside her advocacy efforts, Princess Eugenie hosted and filmed a five-part social media series where she interviewed various ocean advocates. This series highlights their research and passions. It challenges and inspires audiences to take personal, ocean-friendly actions that lead to healthier oceans. Her commitment to environmental issues on the campaign trail is symbolic of her greater long-standing dedication to raising awareness and protecting our oceans.

Princess Eugenie shared her enthusiasm for joining Hauser & Wirth with her new role. She’s excited to continue spreading her love for art and inspiring others to create! The combination of her artistic endeavors and her advocacy for ocean protection reflects her multifaceted approach to contributing positively to society.

At her first post-wedding public appearance, Princess Eugenie rocked a chic orange frock. She finished off her chic look with a black wide-brimmed hat, black satin peep-toe heels, simple delicate necklace, and hoop earrings. Her fashion statement matched her strikingly colorful personality, creating an even deeper buzz with everyone in attendance.

Our “35 under 35 network” is a testament to the energetic array of young talent. Among these tanks are embroiderer Angelica Ellis and stonemason Freya de Lisle, among others. The network is already filled with amazing mentors, including renowned designer Samuel Ross and visual artist Sophie Tea Art. We’re so pleased that HRH Princess Eugenie is backing their incredible talent and artistry.

Josh Prince, with Princess Eugenie beginning an exciting new chapter at Hauser & Wirth.
