Queen Camilla Welcomes Adorable Puppy Moley to the Royal Household

Queen Camilla enthusiastically took on her new role as a dog mom. Earlier this February, in the midst of campaigning, she adopted an eight-week-old puppy named Moley from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Moley was born on Boxing Day and is thought to be half Jack Russell. Clearly, he’s already won over the hearts of the royal family and the public at large.

On a recent solo trip to Canterbury, the queen’s obvious delight in her new little friend was palpable. She was radiant as she cuddled Moley in her arms. This heartwarming picture captures the closeness that is already developing between the two.

Moley’s name, which suits him well at a glance, has already been immortalized in a pretty significant way. They had the puppy’s name engraved on a brick walkway that winds through the garden at the royal residence. This garden will be home to a unique tribute hewn in stone celebrating him. This gesture underlines Moley’s importance in the royal household. He joins Queen Camilla’s other pet, an animated Jack Russell Terrier named Bluebell.

Most recently, Queen Camilla was in attendance as the visually-impaired museum group engaged with the museum. She beamed most at the mention of Moley, her brash new welcome-mat-to-the-world family member. A queen with a heart Queen Elizabeth II is an extraordinarily devoted pet momma. Moley’s arrival is further testament to her commitment to animal welfare.

Moley will undoubtedly prove to be a lovable companion and source of happiness to Her Majesty Queen Camilla. She’s embraced the rewarding duties of a dog owner in the pandemic. As he moves into his new palace, Moley is sure to charm the whole royal family! He’ll revel in roaming the lush green gardens and picturesque grounds at his disposal.
