Major Ice Cream Recall Affects Over 17,800 Cartons Nationwide

It may be the largest recall of its kind! More than 17,800 cartons of ice cream and frozen yogurt are involved because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products were 3-gallon tubs and had 22 different flavors. They are located at 103 such centers spread around the United States.

The breakout comes after concerns of small plastic shards in the products, in addition to possible Listeria contamination. The company isn’t the first to take this precautionary measure. As of Sunday, no injuries or adverse reactions have been reported in connection with the contaminated products.

The recall affects many of these places so far, like Le Mars, Iowa, Wyoming, Michigan, Rosemont, Illinois, Houston, Texas, and Fort Worth, Texas. Consumers can identify the impacted products with “Best If Used By” dates ranging from March 2026 through October 2026.

Federal and state authorities are reminding consumers to dig through their freezers. If you’ve bought any of the recalled ice cream or frozen yogurt items, don’t wait—act immediately to protect yourself. The company suggests disposing of these products or returning them to the place of purchase for a complete refund.

As the recall is still ongoing, health officials are urging greater food safety measures. They recommend that anyone who may have concerns about the recalled products call for further details.
