Remembering Lar Park Lincoln, Beloved Actress and Author, Dies at 63

Lar Park Lincoln, the beloved actress known for her magnetic performances in television and film, has passed away. She died in Washington, D.C., on April 22, 2025, at age 63. Lincoln’s Hollywood career was impressive 45 years. She will always be remembered as a trailblazer whose performances were marked by a rare authenticity and whose determination to foster the next generation of talent changed the entertainment world forever.

Lincoln’s best remembered role was as the shrewd negotiator Linda Fairgate on the legendary soap opera Knots Landing. She portrayed a character who not only tantalized the young scions of Karen and Mack, but became an occasional bedmate for Greg Sumner. Her character often butted heads with Nicollette Sheridan’s Paige Matheson. At the end, this tension led to one of the most dramatic changes when she was killed off on the program. Lincoln’s transformative work on Knots Landing further established her career as a versatile actress who was able to portray complex characters with depth and nuance.

In addition to her television success, Lincoln appeared in the horror genre, playing Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. She crafted an incredible career appearing on national television shows. Perhaps most famously, Freddy’s Nightmares, Murder She Wrote, Beverly Hills, 90210 and City of Justice. Her talents stretched all the way to shopping network appearances, where she was a mainstay on QVC for decades.

Alongside her own work, Lincoln invested her time in mentoring the next generation of artists. She started up Actors Audition Studios to assist those who are hungry to leave their own impact on Tinseltown. She’s written an inspirational success book geared towards helping people succeed in the entertainment industry. She shared her perspective on the craft process, one that was “so rotten and so joyful all at once.” Her remarks reflect Laura’s deep appreciation for the unique challenges and rewards the craft of acting brings.

Her death was announced by Actors Audition Studios in a loving Facebook tribute.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025.” – Facebook post from Actors Audition Studios

At this time, Lincoln’s family is requesting privacy as they process this painful loss. They appreciate all the love and support they have received on this remarkable 40-year career. They welcome donations from all those who seek to honor her memory with action on behalf of democracy. Please donate to The SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund in lieu of flowers.
