Jennifer Aniston just opened up about her debilitating fear of flying. She shared the special rituals she performs to manage her anxiety on airplanes. Despite her fear, she has traveled extensively for work, filming in breathtaking locations around the world. Aniston recently opened up about how she deals with fear in an interview with Travel + Leisure magazine. She even got real about how she likes to travel.
To calm her phobia in the air, Aniston has created an unusual custom that helps him fly. Before entering, she touches the outside of the aircraft three times with her right palm, then she puts her right foot inside. Now, this practice gives her the feeling of agency, so she feels comfortable and in control as she takes on her travels. In addition, she practices breathwork and meditation to ground and calm herself on long-haul flights.
Aniston’s perfect getaway includes a long white sandy beach with clear-blue waters, the perfect place to relax, recuperate and rejuvenate. Fun friends and family are key for her getaway enjoyment. Reflecting on a memorable birthday trip, she stated, “I’ve had a lot of really meaningful, wonderful trips, but there was one time where it was for my birthday with like 50 friends.” The vacation meant that this reunion would feature three days of relaxation, swimming and self pampering.
Also starring in other successful films such as “The Morning Show” and “Murder Mystery” during her career, Aniston has proved herself influential. She loved playing opposite Adam Sandler in “Murder Mystery,” proving even more her ability to wow audiences with her multi-dimensional talent. Her romantic memories were caught up as much in her filming surroundings—Hawaii, as she is quoted—in Kauai, Hawaii. Those last sentiments echoed her testimony calling it her favorite place of magic.
During her recent travels, Aniston did her best to acknowledge and prevent her need to overpack. “I’ve been trying so hard to become an under-packer because I am notoriously an over-packer,” she admitted. This desire to travel light is indicative of a developing approach to vacations, as she recognizes that travel can be hard to control. “You just don’t know where you’re going to be on a certain day, or what mood you’re going to be in,” she explained.
Aniston has been taking dream vacations to places like Lake Como in Italy in recent months. She is really excited to get back on these trips and prioritize relaxing, swimming, working out and eating healthy while enjoying the beauty of Michiana. She is grateful for the possibility to step outside of her hectic routine and have some fun.
Her friends benefit from her well-organized packing habits, as Aniston noted, “My girlfriends really appreciate me because they can usually borrow all of my things that they have forgotten.”
