Wolfie, the son of Dara Huang and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has just turned 9 years-old. What a wonderful experience for him to have on a very special Easter break in London! Born in 2016, Wolfie is the eldest sibling in a blended family that includes two younger sisters, Sienna and Athena. His father, Edoardo, married Princess Beatrice in 2020, adding another layer to the unconventional family that encourages a focus on love and working together.
Wolfie primarily lives with his mother in Chelsea, London, where they continue to share an extremely close bond. Navigating co-parenting with your former partner can be tricky, but Dara Huang and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi set a high bar. We’ve provided them the tools to build an inclusive culture around their son. Their co-parenting dynamic, rooted in mutual respect, creates a supportive environment.
A Special Celebration
With some impressive forward momentum, happiness exuded from Wolfie’s recent birthday celebration. Wolfie’s mother, Dara Huang, posted a touching moment to Instagram by sharing photos of Wolfie’s handprints.
“Wow this summer light and Wolfie’s handprints,” – Dara Huang
The entire family came out to celebrate the special occasion, providing a glimpse into the deep connections that run in their clan. Dara said she was grateful for the loving community around Wolfie, adding,
“I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him – because it didn’t have to be so easy.”
This one wonderful reflection reveals the joy that permeates their home. More importantly, it underscores the lengths both parents have gone to in order to provide Wolfie with home, love and stability.
Quality Time in the Cotswolds
When school is out, Wolfie frequently joins his dad for weekends in the family’s farmhouse in the nearby Cotswolds. There, he relishes in special family time with Edoardo and Princess Beatrice. This setup provides him with the experience of living in a rural community while he continues to live mostly in London. The time spent together continues to deepen the friendships forged within this new blended family.
Dara has talked about wanting to slow things down as kids are growing up so fast, wanting to reexperience some of these moments. She remarked,
“It all happens so fast, before you know it, he won’t want mom everywhere with him anymore… I am going to keep clinging on for as long as I am still ‘cool’.”
Yet, this seemingly simple statement speaks volumes about her commitment to being an engaged and active parent while valuing each moment of Wolfie growing up.
A Loving Environment
No matter how complicated things get in their co-parenting journey, both Dara and Edoardo have focused on making things as “easy” as possible for Wolfie. The creative approach enables him to flourish between two sets of dedicated parents equally invested in his success.
As a parent, Dara thinks she’s got the best job in the world. This sense of advocacy inspires her commitment to being as present as possible in Wolfie’s life. Through it all, she’s focused on developing their connection and providing him with a loving family—extended family—like that of which he deserves and needs.
