Ben Hurst, the 40-year-old founder of The Orange Toolbox, believes it is crucial for young people to acquire practical skills. He was especially struck by the ongoing trauma still experienced by Ukrainian children caught in the continued battle for their homeland. Inspiration for these workshops struck him when he saw Donald Trump trying to be the peacekeeper in the Russia-Ukraine war.
"Sadly for some kids, their role models like their parents or other family members have died. They don't have anyone to teach them practical skills," Hurst explained.
The Orange Toolbox of Ukrainian Schoolchildren by Vostok SOS. It prepares them with the knowledge and soft skills essential for them to reimagine their country when peace is finally achieved.
