Conservatives Shatter Fundraising Records in 2024, Outpacing Rivals

The Conservative Party of Canada set new fundraising records in 2024, amassing an impressive $41.8 million over the year. In a remarkable fourth-quarter surge, the party collected $12.8 million, marking its most successful quarter ever. This figure nearly doubled the combined total raised by its principal rivals, the Liberal Party and the New Democratic Party (NDP), throughout the entire year. Both the Liberals and NDP experienced their most successful quarters in the same period, but their efforts paled in comparison to the Conservatives' financial gains.

In 2024, the Liberal Party raised approximately $15.2 million, while the NDP collected nearly $6.3 million in donations. Despite the Liberals and NDP seeing around a third of their annual contributions arrive during the final quarter, their combined annual total remained less than what the Conservatives achieved alone. The average individual donation across all three parties was recorded at less than $200, showcasing widespread grassroots support as a key component of these fundraising efforts.

The fourth quarter of 2024 proved to be a significant period for all major national parties, with each experiencing record-breaking success in terms of donations. However, the Conservative Party's performance was particularly noteworthy, as it not only set records for itself but also outshone its competitors considerably. The party's ability to draw in such substantial financial support has been attributed to its strategic campaign initiatives and focused outreach efforts.

Conservative leaders have expressed satisfaction with their fundraising outcomes, viewing it as a testament to their growing support base and effective campaigning strategies. This financial windfall is expected to bolster the party's capacity to execute robust election campaigns and further its political objectives in the coming year.
