Lynn Ban, a renowned jewelry designer and star of Netflix's "Bling Empire: New York," passed away at the age of 51 following a ski accident that led to brain surgery. Ban, celebrated for her eponymous jewelry line adored by celebrities such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga, suffered a life-altering accident while skiing in Aspen, Colorado, during a Christmas trip. Despite initial feelings of well-being after a face-plant, an attentive paramedic urged her to undergo a CT scan, which revealed the need for emergency brain surgery.
Ban was born in Singapore and built a thriving career with her private label, Lynn Ban Jewelry. Her work adorned some of the world's most famous figures, cementing her status as a leading figure in the fashion industry. Her husband and business partner, Jett Kain, and their son, Sebastian, survive her. Following the accident, Ban expressed gratitude for a second chance at life and acknowledged the support she received from her family, friends, and medical professionals.
"Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side," said Lynn Ban.
"There's a long road of recovery ahead but I'm a survivor and grateful to ski patrol, the incredible team of doctors and nurses and the ❤️and support my family and friends 🙏🏼 GOD IS GOOD 🙏🏼 Grateful and blessed to see the new year 🎉🙌🏻," she added.
