Noah Centineo is contemplating a return to the romance genre, the very realm that launched his career into stardom. Recently, he reprised his beloved role as Peter Kavinsky in the spin-off series XO, Kitty, offering a nostalgic nod to his past. The cameo came about quite unexpectedly while Centineo was in Seoul filming the second season of the action thriller series, The Recruit.
In XO, Kitty, Peter Kavinsky's character makes a charming appearance towards the end of the season. His visit to Seoul is depicted as part of a lacrosse tournament, adding an intriguing twist for fans of the original series. This opportunity arose serendipitously as Centineo was already stationed in Seoul for The Recruit when producer Matt Kaplan approached him about the cameo.
Centineo's recent career trajectory has largely veered towards action thrillers. He starred alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the superhero film Black Adam and is set to appear in Alex Garland's upcoming A24 war drama Warfare. The latter project boasts an impressive cast featuring Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, and Cosmo Jarvis.
Despite his foray into different genres, Centineo admits that stepping back into Peter Kavinsky's shoes was daunting. He expressed a mix of excitement and apprehension, underscoring a desire to do justice to the role that brought him fame.

The film trilogy based on Jenny Han's young adult novels cemented Centineo's status as a romantic lead, portraying the popular jock Peter Kavinsky opposite Lana Condor's Lara Jean Covey. His cameo in XO, Kitty not only delighted fans but also rekindled his fondness for the genre. Centineo has expressed admiration for his former co-star Anna Cathcart and a longing to explore romance again.
